Holidays in Dalaman

Dalaman is a district, city and province of Muğla, in southwestern Turkey, just a few kilometers from the Mediterranean coast. The city is known primarily for its international airport, which serves as the country's gateway for foreigners.
What makes Dalaman tours so attractive?
The city's popularity as a seaside resort is growing every year, and this is not surprising, since tourists are attracted by the picturesque landscapes of the area, low hills covered with dense greenery and crystal-clear waters of the azure sea. The city is located on a fertile coastal plain, which makes it possible to grow various types of citrus fruits.
Excursions to the ruins of ancient settlements on the Kapidag Peninsula are especially popular. Archaeological excavations have not yet been carried out here, so tourists can contemplate the ruins as they are. 30 kilometers from Dalman is another ancient settlement, Hippocom, in which prehistoric graves are well preserved.
Also popular are numerous yacht tours and sea cruises, during which you can see the picturesque bays and natural beauty of this amazing area.
Holidays in Dalaman are a great opportunity to discover a new luxury Turkish resort
An interesting fact is that in Dalaman there is a railway built by mistake. In 1905, the ruler of Egypt gave the order to build a luxurious hunting lodge in Dalaman and a railway to Alexandria, but the workers mixed up the materials. When the mistake was discovered, all the work had already been done, and the government decided to leave everything as is. Today, the area is a state reserve and is surrounded by neat lawns and majestic palm trees.
