Vilnius is a big and beautiful city. The troubled history of the city is like the intransigence of his people. For centuries, the city has been looted and devastated by many wars. Now Vilnius is one of the centers of the Pristina. The richness of the Vilnius culture is reflected in the diversity of its architecture: churches and towers, isolated medieval courtyards and narrow layers. The city is located in the south-east of the country, in the 2nd valleys of the Nyaris and Vilia. In 1323, the great Lithuanian Prince Gedimin moved his residence from Trakaya. From this point on, the history of the city as the capital begins. For the 16th century, Vilnius is becoming a major trading and cultural centre in Europe. Since the third section of Poland, the city has been attached to the Russian Empire as the centre of the Villen Gubrania. As such, it remained until 1918. Since 11 March 1990, Vilnius is the capital of an independent Republic of Lithuania.

Vilnius is the northern point of contact between the Roman and Visantian, European and Asian cultures. The rich history of Vilnius is evidenced by the diversity of its architecture: churches, costels, towers, military reinforcements, single medieval palaces and narrow juices.

St. Peter's and Pavla's costel (XVII century) is the pearl of Vilnius' bar architecture. His interior steals about 2,000 statues of biblical, mythological and historical heroes.

By the end of the sixteenth century in Vilnius, classicism had spread, leaving the city with its city raft, the Palais and the Cafederal assembly. Laurinas Stuka-Guqievichus, an outstanding Lithuanian architect, created a modern image of the Cafederal Cell, and when you enter

Transport

Vilnius has all major public transport modes: buses, trolleybuses, and route taxi. A well-developed public transport system (buses and trolleybuses) makes it easy to reach any point in the city. However, buses and trolleybuses can be overcrowded at peak hours. "bilietai neparduodami" means tickets aren't sold. The tickets should be combined in the bus salon.

Vilnius has one electronic ticket for urban travel. They can be accommodated at the end stops, in the stop tickets, and in the Lietuvos spauda. When transport is landed, an electronic ticket should be submitted.

A green signal shall be provided to the holder (yellow-coloured devices located in the salon). The travel is then considered paid. One way to get comfortable and cheap to the right point of the city is the route taxi. Typically, the lines connect the city centre to the sleeping areas. Travel payments shall be made to the driver upon landing.
