AMMAN. The capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Amman, the largest city of desert kingdom, with about 2 million inhabitants. The city has a rich historical legacy. The most ancient exhibits detected during archaeological excavations, which are now displayed in the National History Museum, it's the beginning of the third millennium before our age.

By 1200, until our age, Amman (in Tanah, Raba Bnei Amon) becomes the main city of Colin Amon. Later, the city was captured by Czar David. In 30 years before our age, Amon is captured by the Romans, then after 630, our era is already under the control of Muslims, after which it loses its strategic importance and falls into decline.

At the beginning of the 20th century, Amman was an abandoned Chernobyl village with a population of several thousand inhabitants. In 1920, Amman became the main pillar of Emir Abdalla, the Pradeda of the current Jordanian monarch Abdallah. In 1950, Amman was officially declared the capital of the State, followed by the rapid growth of the city.

The city ' s crown is Citadel, a hill with the ruins of the Hercules Temple, where the archaeological museum is located, a number of expots of which are at the time of the first settlements in the region, some 700,000 years ago. Citadel's underground has a Roman amphitheater with 5,000 viewers.

To gain a better impression of this city, it makes sense to walk from the largest mosque of modern Amman, the Mecheti of King Abdullah, to the five-minute walk of the Jordanian Parliament, which is extremely resembling the Israeli Knesset. Presents interest to the Patriot Military Museum, exhibition of military equipment. There's a museum inside a huge sports town, including stadium, tennis courts and a lot of other things in the fascinated area of western Amman, Schmeisani.

Amman is now a rapidly developing large business and administrative centre with excellent hotels, nightclubs and discotheques, modern sports facilities, business meetings and various conferences. There are many different restaurants in the city offering large choices, both Arab dishes and Europeans.
