Strasbourg, the capital of Elsa, is located on the border of France and Germany. The city has repeatedly moved from the Germans to the French and back, and today it is called the most German city in France.

The city ' s name means the " city (at border) of roads " , which underlines its strategic location in the centre of Europe. Strasbourg, founded back in Romans, has always played an important role in European history -- in the Middle Ages, the city has been the pre-eminent centre of commerce, and in the revival era, science and art have been actively developed.

It is here that Johanna Gutenberg thought of changing the world to print books, and today he has a monument in the old city of Gutenberg. Strasbourg is an amazing, beautiful and well-established old city.

Strasbourg is today the residence of the Council of Europe and the European Parliament, one of the capitals of the United Europe.

Walking around the old blocks of town, you're not going past the famous gothician. Notre Dame, which was built without 300 years (1176-1439). Its height was 142 m, until the Kelnski Cell was built for centuries, the highest in Europe. Built from a local pink sander, the cathedral plays dozens of shades in the sun, making an amazing impression.

Going on the coast, you'll be staying with Most Corbo, who's called the Muchenikov Bridge. In the mid-century, death row inmates were placed in iron cells and dropped from the bridge to the river. The Museum of Strasbourg History is located next to the bridge in the former slaughterhouse (1586). In the exhibit, old maquets (single early dates of 1725) Strasbourg, collection of weapons and tin soldiers. There is also the oldest (1306) hotel in the city of Gateway.

Moving from the bridge to the north, you will enter the pedestrian area. La Petite France - Small France. Look at all the paintings of the well-established traditional Elsas houses, painted by wooden galleries, lodges, windows of colored glass. They are also characterized by acute rooftops with multiple hearing windows. In 1682, the construction of such houses in France was prohibited, but in Strasbourg they continued to be built. Every house is interesting, and all of them are unique.

The city ensemble, which, along with Venice and Prague, is included by UNESCO in the World Cultural Heritage List.

Going further north, you'll be on the way. Cleber area, named J. Cleber (1753-1800), a fight hero in Mainz. There used to be a plate, and there are fairs and celebrations. The building in the area where the harpwaht was once housed was remodeled to the conservatory, then there was a restaurant, and now there's an entertainment center.

The maximum number of tourists is from May to September.

The Elsa kitchen is characterized by a mix of German and French traditions. The most famous local dish, Shukrut, is a carcab with wine, potato and sausage.

Of course, the famous Strasbourg pie, kougelhoph, is not a chance, yet a cannon.

To the trapes, we recommend the selection of a free local white wine.
