Kenya ' s capital is located at an altitude (approximately 1,660 metres above sea level) in the south, 500 kilometres from the Indian Ocean coast. There was once a small oasis in the city, which was the place of halting the caravans of the slave trade from Central Africa to the coast. In the language of the Masaï tribe, the indigenous inhabitants of the area, Oasis was referred to as “Nairobi”, “Local water”. That's the name of the city.

Nairobi was founded by the English in 1899. At that time, he was a small railway station. The city ' s population had grown steadily, and by 1907, Nairobi had become so large that it had been decided to move the capital of British East Africa from Mombasa. Nairobi is now the largest megapolis in East and Central Africa. It has strict rectangular design and is built by European-type buildings, modern skyscrapers and fenile hotels. A strong English influence is still felt here. Okay, the central area decorates the tower with hours, reminding the famous London Big Ben. In the centre of the city, near the Parliament building, one of the main features of Nairobi is Jomo Keniatta ' s first President, who is accustomed by local residents. The Kenyans keep everything that has to do with the First President.

One of the main exhibits of the National Museum in Nairobi is a copy of his favoured elephant, which has been real. The National Museum has a huge screen that broadcasts scientific and popular films on Kenya ' s fauna. The Nairobi Centre is small, so it can be walk-through, including the main trading centres that are concentrated here.

Several major parks - for example, the Nairobi City Park - are demolishing the capital and serving as hosts and guests. Nairobi is a vibrant city that will not last a minute. There are six casinos, two theatres and several cinemas. At nights in restaurants and bars, music sounds, and nightclubs can dance until morning.

In Nairobi, travellers always find themselves enjoying their taste - whether to visit museums, to travel to safari or to rest quietly in the shed near the pool in their hotel.
