Cathedral in Zagreb

17.01.2007
The Zagreb Café (Croatia) entered a hundred beautiful monuments of the world. According to the Spanish Publishing House, Editorial Libs, a book containing a list and detailed description of these monuments created Spanish artists in the history of the arts. Their purpose is not to assess or classify monuments, but to bring together the best that mankind has created in terms of architecture and art. The idea of a book arose from popular publications such as “100 wonders of light” or “100 great wonders of light”. The publication will be published in September 2007, first in Spain and then in other countries of Europe and the world.
Zagreb's story is really dramatic. It was built in a romantic-gotical style in 1217, and thirty years later, the Tataro mongola destroyed it. He's been educated by a Gothic style in 1287, but the cathedral has been rebuilt in the 14-15 century. In the 16th century, it was reinforced by walls and towers, and a century later, it received a massive scale of Renesance. But the biggest hit was in 1880 during the earthquake, after which the cathedral re-establishment began, this time in negotical style.
