Opening of a new luxury hotel in Maldives
GHM has announced plans to open this year ' s first hotel in the Maldives - The Chedi Kuda Villingili. The resort is only 25 minutes away from Mala International Airport. The Chedi Kuda Villingili will have an impressive pool of 150 metres long, as well as 99 villas, 36 of which will be built on water.
The Chedi Kuda Villingili Hotel is located on the coral island of Where Villingi is 1 km long. An international team of talented designers worked on the resort in close cooperation with GHM experts. The traditional Maldivian environment has been successful in incorporating original architectural and landscape solutions from Singapore designers, while U.S. specialists worked on the lighting of the resort.
Since its inception in 1992, GHM has been on the way to develop corners that were not widely known by opening such resorts as The Nam Hai in Viet Nam, The Chedi Muscat in Oman and The Chedi Andermatt in Switzerland. Each of them was famous for a design combining local architectural traditions with an Asian aesthetic and modern trends.
The staff of each new hotel opened by the GHM is sympathetic with the spirit of the brand and is prepared to create genuine, immovable impressions not previously known to the guests of other GHM hotels.
GHM expects most of the resort guests to attract silence, calm ocean, virgin beaches, cruises on sunset, barbecue dinners and, of course, seafood.
In addition to 36 villas on water and 63 villas on The Chedi Kuda V illingili, will present a spa centre with eight procedural villas, a beach club and bar, a full-day restaurant and Hawkers Stalls with four gastronomical shows. There will be all recreational facilities on the island, ranging from sporting sites where various sports can take place to surf and other multiple recreational activities on water and underwater.
