The great building of Maria Cristina Spain, which was built on the project of the French architect Charles Mev, is rising on the shore of the Urumea River, in the heart of San Sebastian and near the beach in the Bay of Biscai. The festival hotel was named after the Spanish Regent, Maria Cristina, who was his first guest to cross the threshold at the opening in 1912.
