The small Les Sources des Alpes is located on the southern slopes of Swiss Alps in Lakerbad in south-west Switzerland. Its name is " Alpine Sources " : this exquisite hotel has reached a height of 1,400 metres above sea level, close to the location where hot springs reach 51 degrees Celsius. The soft high climate, the magnificent mountain landscapes and curative sources have attracted guests from all over the world for over 160 years.
The hotel, which opened its doors for the first time in 1834, became a real mechanic for natural testers, alpineists, artists and representatives of English aristocratic families. In her rich history, the hotel has received many famous people. In 1862, Alexander Duma was here, describing his impressions on the Swiss Travel, a little later, Guy de Mapassan, who dedicated one of his novels to this magical province, and in 1908, the Count of Lev Tolstoy came here. Pablo Picasso, Charlie Chaplin, Paul Valerie and Herbert von Karyan assessed the hotel ' s purposeful sources and well-designed infrastructure at various times.
In 1990, the hotel received its real name and entered the prestigious Relais chain Châteaux. Les Sources des Alpes offers a spa-centre Aquawell Thermal Center, where 2 basins with heating, gym, sauna, ferry bath and various treatment and rehabilitation programmes are available to guests. The complex also includes 30 different classes and a restaurant specializing in the metro-Earth kitchen.
